Ben has kept his straight face in place for the entire movie except for one scene and John again is perfect, these brothers are much lighter and the movie is a comedy not the serious dramatic first one. I will need to revisit number one to get a plot line, as there is not an obvious one here, the movie has no real sense of continuity and is disappointing because of it. Its a shame the producers and directors did not wait until they had a definite direction, either comedy or thriller. Overall, its a disappointment, however, I would love them to try again as Ben and John are winners.
OMG this series is what I, and all Dexter fans have waited for. The series expands on the first Dexter series in exactly the way it should be done. It has the ironic humour and quirks of all involved, and the younger versions are exceptional, including Dexter himself. Having Michael voice Dexter adds to the authenticity of proceedings and we see that Dexter is a genius in his forensics from day one. Even the clumsiness of his earliest kills shows that he is evolving into what he finally becomes. For me as a dedicated Dexter fan I give this ten out of ten and am loving it as a true feast of excellence. This show is perfect in the Dexter world.
What was this POS? Its so bad it was unbearable and I personally watched it only because of Demi. It won an Academy Award? They have to be joking. The whole movie made me incredulous that it was actually bankrolled for production. I generally agree with most Academy Award winners, but this???? They have to be kidding if this was the best of the bunch. Demi is an awesome actor and I love all her movies, GI Jane, Ghost, etc, but this, I cant unsee its ridiculous crud, Dennis Quaid was his excellent self, however its two hours of bullcrud that is not worth the trouble of spending time to watch it. This movie truly plumbs the depths of ridiculousness. It makes absolutely nomsense as a comedy, scifi, horror, or social commentary.
