  • Kids show - stop taking Power Rangers so seriously!

Is it cringey? Sure. Are the special effects a bit lame? Yep. But - this is a kid's show. Some of the reviews are taking Power Rangers a bit too seriously.

My 7 year old loves it. Like many kid's shows with actors (rather than animated), it is cheesy and over the top but all low budget shows like this are.

Other reviewers have compared it to other versions of power rangers; I remember the 90s version and more recent ones and they were cheesy too! I think maybe some have forgotten? Has any non cringey version existed? Don't think so.

Would I watch it myself? No, but it's great for kids, in that they love it; there's super powers from the ninja star thingys, no real violence (very pretend martial arts and effects style), no swearing or anything inappropriate. Very much a kids show and if you're not playing it for your 5-12 year old then you're probably the wrong audience.

  • An okay show to pass some time but...

Is this a bit far fetched or do some of the characters behave unrealistically in parts? Sure. Just like every other action film or spy tv show. Some of these reviews are a bit dramatic. It's an average show that's just a bit boring or dry and didn't make the most of its cast. It's only 5eps so easy to get through in a day or two if you've got nothing to do.

Olga Kurylenko is great. She's a strong actress and her character added dimension to the show. The main character Adam, played by Charlie Cox I think, fell a bit flat. Not sure if this is the writing because he wasn't the only one. This mini series has some great actors but it doesn't feel like anyone's talents are really shown. I wish we'd seen more from Danila Kovlozsky. He a wonderful actor and his portrayal of Lord Melton was interesting but frankly we just didn't seem to spend enough time on him. They should have used him better. The actress that played Maddie, though we spent a lot of time with, didn't feel particularly authentic, though I suspect this was the writing as it seems to be an issue across the board. The ending while I suppose offered closure, was anticlimactic.

While this isn't the worse thing I've watched (by far) but it was just a bit boring and I doubt I'll think about it much after watching it. It's certainly not a show that stays with you!

  • Solid family show

Walker is a solid family friendly show...if you're expecting Supernatural or a Chuck Norris style Texas Walker then you're in the wrong place.

I found it an easy show to watch and there are lots of mysteries & not knowing who to trust that it keeps things interesting. Show wrapped up one of the main story lines in the finale but left a big unknown for next season to keep us interested.

A good diverse cast that actually reflects what the world looks like. The characters are flawed & realistic. There are a lot of back stories as well as the main plot that could potentially lead to further stories in future seasons. There is a lot of music in this show that accompanies action sequences.

This show is the kind of thing a teen could watch with their parents. It has a bit of a corny camp feel to it but with all this scary stuff in the world it's nice to watch a show that includes the family and holds on to good values.
