A rich girl meets a poor boy, definitely not new, but this movie is crafty. It makes you rethink,reminisce, and relate. Even thou you're sure you knew what was going to happen next it glues you until the end. The portrayals were slick and positive, and the delivery of the dialogue somehow makes the tacky lines not so tacky at all.
The movie was unsure of its direction, much more its identity. Was it a teen rom-com or a pre-teen movie? was it a fantasy film or a love story?
It was a half baked of everything. The characters were also unsure of their actions, much more on what they want to portray, friends or love interest, Father or just adviser, achiever or just simply want to get by. The story has potential but the story telling and portrayals were flat.

The sequences were long, boring and some are completely unnecessary. The subplots were ok to take out and does not move the story forward.
