Spy (2023)
A hit & a miss in the genre
The first half seems a bit dragging and screenplay seems a bit slow especially with setting up the storyline. A lot could be explained which is left unattended and a lot which could be skipped is unnecessarily added. With most of nikhil movies, unfortunately vfx has been a weak point but that's understandable due to low budget. Hero & his aide had more chemistry than the heroine.
Cinematography has been a pro aspect of the film and sound has been top notch. Can see a bit similarities between the approach between this film & the last film of hero. Production has been well organised from the looks of it. The core premise of the film is very little attended to and explained. Honestly, was expecting a bit more but little disappointed. Nonetheless, this spy thriller definitely can be enjoyed for a watch.
Dogool (2020)
Longer Screenplay and confusing characters
The film seems to have all aspects required for a treasure hut genre, however still it feels out of place for the most part. The characters are not defined very clearly and always seem to be out of place. A stronger antagonist would have been helpful for the film.
Aesthetically, the colours and cinematography look average for most of the parts except towards climax. All The actors try to elevate the film with their performances, however without a strong screenplay, it seems out of place. The story looses its pace back and forth and many characters are confusing without their clear explanation.
The sound score has no value and does not help the film at all. This can be a one time watch, however don't expect the same thrill as other treasure hunt movies.

Pleasant Performances with average aesthetics
This one has a well woven screenplay and keeps the characters relevant till the climax. Carefully shows the strengths and weaknesses of characters and backed with good performance. The film however lacks a little bit on cinematic aesthetics and background score. The film feels very simply shot and emphasised more on the actors.
Additionally, the art department has make it seem very believable and the costumes are also very good. Had the film had better colour scheme, it would have been aesthetically brilliant and appealing for the audience. The king and his subject outshine everyone in the film with their performances.
Shamshera (2022)
Poor man's bahubali
A rather unsettling and unsatisfactory attempt to copy something of a stature such as bahubali with such screenplay is an interestingly daring attempt. The movie lacks screenplay and seemingly the potential of the actors seem not utilised at all. With many stalwarts helming the project, a rather good result was expected. However, the audience is let down.
Plus would be the cinematography, background score and fights choreographed. The cinematography especially is the only primary saving aspect of the film. Better screenplay could have saved the film however, bigger productions need to have better stories as well.
Thank God (2022)
Average movie with bad screenplay
The movie shines at times but also gets really dull at moments. Screenplay is the primary problem that the movie tackles. Also, now that vfx is improving in bollywood, this movie should have invested the effort in VFX specially when it has a good amount of requirement in the film.
Songs seem a bit misplaced in the film with only the item song surprisingly taking the story forward. Female protagonist seems to have nothing much to do in the film. Although, with remakes this could have been delivered better. Overall this is a one time watch movie. Background score is nice and engaging but there seem too many movements with camera angles that make it less engrossed for the viewer.

Are we still in 2000s?
This movie is so bad i had to take regular breaks to complete this one whole movie. The romance looks forced with literally cringe dialogues. The male protagonist is so badly written you will almost cry. Just because you add a social issue and fix it up with comedy does not mean it will be something like ante sundaraniki.
Female lead acts like this is not a film but a music video. I feel sad for the film crew that had to work hard for making this masterpiece. Had this been 2000s, the movie might had been accepted, but it is damn 2022, go with the change.. write accordingly. Poorly written screenplay and story will only make the audience feel tormented. Also, dumb hero character literally prejudiced and absolutely useless.
Memories (2013)
Chilling thriller
Malayalam cinema yet again proves they're boss when it comes to thrillers. Prithviraj is so convincing! You can't guess the main culprit until thr end. The BGM is perfectly balances the tone of the film. Although at times cinematography looks sluggish, overall the movie delivers the best!
Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020)
Classy comeback film of Allu arjun
The film is well wrapped around the plot with interesting action sequences and twists. Allu Arjun as Bantu and Murali Sharma steal the show predominantly. The chemistry between the lead actors also works out. The only negative is the song placement. Rest the movie is thorough entertainer.
