This movie gives a new perspective of X-Men's "Young Mutants" finding out their powers, but in a more trauma, horror way. Usually when mutants is involve Xavier from the X-Men helps out with a hand, while The New Mutants turns to a different road and approach new ways introducing a horror like film.
How does The New Mutants bring horror vibes? Without spoiling it, graphically to certain people it can be a horror, but it's more of a psychologic horror in my opinion.
The story is different from the X-Men franchise, but it introduces new characters and it's a nice change from the X-Men. Well thought out with a balancing storyline, alluring with exciting moments, sometimes jumpy, enjoyable and a strong character build.
The New Mutants released date kept changing, as someone who waited for this to be released, I'm happy how it turned out in the end. I even have my own favorite character who is played by Maisie Williams, also hoping more movies, or even a T.V series with the same actors and actresses.

My first time watching this was at a young age, 9. While ending up having a young crush of "Sigourney Weaver", an amazing actress with a beautiful title of "Sci-Fi Queen" and still looks beautiful at the age of 70.
This Horror classic is beautifully well done, very amazing details despite it being a 1979 film, still amazes me how well this movie was done. It starts off with a crew in space, with each individual strong characters showing the relationship strengths from the beginning. Plus a female leading character in a horror, sci-fi movie, wasn't done a lot back then. Ridley Scott did an amazing job directing, while choosing the actors and actresses perfectly.
Story outline is very strong, while seems like a simple story "Outer space signal response crew encountering an alien" but it's more than just that. You're constantly smiling how close the crew is, laughing some parts, curious about the humanoid, but then having a feeling something more is going on. The whole movie is just beautiful, between the hype, loving the characters (cough, falling for the gorgeous Ripley), and the details of the alien is fantastic, sounds are original, creepy, especially you're outer space.
Outer space is quiet, far from planet earth if anything happens, you're on your own, so the story itself isn't just amazing, the thought of being out there alone is frightening, which brings me to the eerie sounds. Perfectly creepy I must say, offsetting, makes you just fall into a hole sometimes, basically giving you an emotion that they're alone.
Story- 10/10 (Best horror classic, best female leading horror, interesting, very unique designs, very detail, original)
Characters- 10/10 (Everyone is very good at acting, each individual is lovable, strong character bonds, very depth characteristics)
Tone/Music/Atmosphere- 10/10 (Creepy, balanced, good timing, lures you in the situation, eerie)
This is my all time favorite movie, it's beautiful, the best classic, and amazing actors/actresses with an amazing directer Ridley Scott

During my need in searching a horror series, Iv'e came across Crypt T.V which is backed up by Blumhouse Productions, Jason Blum. This already gives you excitement. That's when I came across the "The Birch" a 2016 short story.
This is a remake, connected to the 2016 "The Birch". About a creature who acts like a mother figure, protecting those in need of help, while giving them a form of love, as a mother would do so to there sons and daughters. It has a "Blair Witch" vibe, but a more in depth story, while having a "Stephan King" vibe too.
The Birch is a unique story, as a teen "Evie" grieving, comes upon a ritual like "Blair Witch" symbol. She began to do research, while threatened by others and not a very popular teen in school, more like a closed in girl being bullied. I must say, she gives me an "Eleven, Stranger Things" character vibe, which says a lot about the character and acting strength of "Xaria Dotson". The same with others, but the directing of the show is also well done, being balanced, originality, interesting, strong moments and during this, they slowly give you the back story, origin of the creature "The Birch". Creative, well designed, a mother nature twist of horror.
Story- 10/10 (Originality to it's bone, well balanced, more importantly "UNIQUE" and interesting)
Origin Story- 10/10 (A strong Back bone, it's original, easily understandable, very interesting)
Characters- 10/10 (The actors and actresses I find does a very good job, depth is amazing, personality's are shown, it's strong)
Tone/Music/Atmosphere- 10/10 (Very well on point of setting the moods, easily sucked in into it's surroundings)
I can see this becoming a bigger series, movies and graphic novels because it's a creature. The story can be made with multiple paths, plus blumhouse is part of Crypt T.V, in hoping this gains more popularity!.
