  • The man from half moon street

This is one of the greatest films of all time. Precursor to the " The picture of Dorian Grey". The actor Nils Aster is one of the great English actors who takes on this role with great aplomb! The story is about a man who is 120 year old and is given an extended life through a doctor who has it in his his power to extend a persons life, though an operation where the renewable glands, are replaced into persons, who are extremely rich as will who will pay a hefty dollar to live forever. But circumstances happen where the hero is not able to get his life needed fix. He falls in love with a young women and needs his operation to finally find the true love he has been looking his whole live. Brilliant Film, A Must SEE for all film lovers. MAKE A BIG STIR OVER GETTING THIS FILM ON DVD!!!!!!!! THANKS, CHRISTOPHER FROST HARDING, FILM CRITIC FROM Florida, USA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great Movie, Classic!!!

This movie is a awesome experience, it takes place in the most interesting time and place for new and exciting history. The hero, played by Robert Downey Jr. is fun loving and smart and charming, as a doctor and whore monger his love of life is infectious!!! Literally... his rise through the story is amazing and funny, yet we see him changing slowly and through his eyes we see the frailty and horror of the human condition in its most high and low of times. The King, played by Sam Neil is the most funloving Royal of all times, his is brilliant and funny and yet very Kingly. His love of the arts and engineering and medicine are what every one should aspire to in their reigns. The rest of the cast is very good, Meg Ryan's hair is funky, straw like, and needs conditioning, thats a joke. But she is excellent and has a great irish accent. Hope you enjoy this classic.

  • Great Movie.....

Judith Ivey as the scamming old whore is awesome. Emily Grace the young girl. Is innocent and exciting as she learns whats going down. Excellent direction and camera. Story is dark and disturbing.Supporting cast is good. Shows what happens and can happen with a run of bad luck. Great independent film. Small cast. Pace is slow at first and then moves good. A good movie to show your teen age daughter who has aspirations of leaving home early, for the open road and adventure. This movie, film has a low budget feel to it, but it works because of the low lifes and areas that these people move in. I will never stop a rest stop again with out thinking of this movie and checking my tires before I go.
