I have watched a number of these episodes and was at first interested in the premiss. The recreated special effects are very good and engaging. The story tellers who are introduced as the real people relate their stories about their experiences.. Here is where the show falls apart for me. None of these people seem to behave in a normal rational way during their encounters. They describe these encounters and end up staring at the thing for a long period of time, which seems foolish if these creatures are real and are dangerous. Then there are their friends who never believe them and laugh off their genuine fear as a joke. The next show is the exact same thing and then again and again. Why do people not photograph the creature or record the sounds or show others foot prints, it shouldn't be that hard. I actually get angry at the peoples response they describe. I also stopped watching because it all felt too staged.
When I first started watching this show it seemed interesting, until these ridiculous eye witnesses explained their experiences.
Many of the people display behaviors more akin to old movies where no one believes them until the end and then it's too late.
Many of these witnesses never take a simple picture to prove their sighting.
The stories are so lame and foolish and they all seem strangely similar. The show will pop up an "Actual Photo" from some of these people and it looks so bad that it looks more like a cave drawing. Even smart phones of the last ten years can take a very good picture and video too. Why are all these photos so poor and they seem to prove nothing. Watch one show then move on, nothing to see here !

I always thought this very first one hour western on TV was just great. The story lines alone were innovative and interesting. I truly believe the writers put a lot of effort in making this an intriguing western. Of course, I was always a fan of Clint Walker and enjoyed seeing him in all roles he played. His quiet powerful presence is hard not to like. This show started the TV westerns of the 50's and it didn't disappoint. My father and I would make a point of catching this show on our small black and white TV when I was a kid. Even the special effects back then were pretty good for that period.
This 1950's western is still shown on some channels and it is worth a look for anyone who is not familiar with this series.
