I am happy that there is Accountant 2, but the movie is horribly made. 3 key actors are great, but everything else is lacking. Feels like they tried to smash 8 hours of content in to a bit over 2 hours. Story isn't good, but screenwriting is hilariously bad and directing doesn't save. There is huge amount of details that doesn't get explained and things don't make sense. At the same time there are long parts that are unnecessary and completely isolated from rest of the movie. It could have been almost bearable as series, but it is awfully made as it is. They wanted too much and didn't have time nor skills for it.
If you remain open-minded, it is actually entertaining movie. I'd rather watch this than some Indiana Jones movie rerun. I'd consider it 7 ½. It isn't good movie in sense that it would be an 8, but I would actually more than happily watch it again. And that is one of my key-criteria on what is 8. Just be open-minded, don't expect it to be remake of Elaine Paige's Cats (1998). If you view it as standalone film, it is solid way to entertain. Worth a watch, if you have otherwise nothing else to watch than some reruns. Yes it's badly made and doesn't honor the magnificent Cats-musical, but it still manages to entertain. And that's typically what you want from a movie.
