Good grief wth was that???
While the movie has a good idea (even though this plot has been done quite a few times already) it was interesting. Okay, so monsters who can't go above a certain height? Sure, but why? Jumps into the story, sure okay. No back story though, no flash backs as to what happened.
Then of course the tale as old as time: a parent who has to protect their child. The other parent who has already died. Okay, sure. We've already seen that like 300 times before, but okay.
The whole movie is full of done-before tropes and plot twists, this made it boring & predictable as hell (even though it was a bit entertaining, I can't lie).
But one point truly boiled my blood and made me give this a 3 star. So the whole idea is the elevation level right? No spoiler there. But the MC is near the end of the movie trying to get to that line and he is LITERALLY right THERE but the Alien is in front of the line. Okay sure. BUT HE CAN LITERALLY MOVE TO THE RIGHT AND CROSS THE LINE????? This made me so incredibly angry and is such lazy writing or a lazy job from the director. He was LITERALLY I am not even kidding within jumping distance of that stupid line and he acted like he was gonna die anyways. Ruined the whole movie for me. Made me want to rate this a 1 star but there were some good points so alas, 3 stars.
A 1 time watch for sure.

What a show!!!! One of the best I watched in ages, SO impressive. Absolute hats off to the team who was able to find out all of those details about these people their ancestors, truly mindblowing. The combination of family history and food that connects generations was so so so good and heartwarming.
Antoni is an amazing host, he is so calm, funny, receptive, perseptive and kind.
Please give me like at least 10 more seasons. My only note would be to invite the native family member on the road as well. Now a couple of times we would have a celebrity whose parent was native from another country and they travelled there without them? That was a bit weird and I would think the show would be way more special to the viewers and the participants as well if it could a parent/child endeavour.
Other than that 10000% recommend and I truly hope they make more seasons.

I might be one of the few people (so it seems) who really didn't care too much about this movie.
The main idea of this movie? 10/10 for SURE. It's a really cool idea but I just feel like the movie could have done SO much more with this story.
I definitely like the added poke about social media these days, but in a way it also felt bland, overdone and generic. It seemed like a cheap jab towards gen z'ers "always being on their phones" and not caring about anybody else.
The movie lacked in character building and background story and took "fast pace" to a new extreme in my opinion.
It seems they're already planning on making a new movie and I hope it's more about the background story of where this 'hand' and everything came from. IMO they can slow down the pace a bit more to actually set a scene and build suspense more.
The movie had a lot of potential but ruined it for me on several fronts. I've seen horror movies with much lower ratings than this one, that i actually think are way better than Talk To Me. But I think this is more of a horror movie for the general public than the ones who actually enjoy a good horror movie...
