It's unthinkable that they got the same main cast from 30 years ago, they actually are Johny and Daniel from 1984, and they still deliver the best quality in town. The plot is logic, the fights are epic (kinda 90s-ish), the emotions are absolutely real, we can see the "time" on Johny's face, he was a rich kid badass, now he is a man who went through life with wisdom and still badass. Daniel is still as pure "karate nerd" as 30 years ago, we see no "time" on his face, life treated him well. But all changes when Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai fight again in modern time. There are always 2 sides of every story, we are always the bad guy in others' story, it is show perfectly here. All actors/actress from the Karate kid 1984 are back, not as cameo but real badass roles, like they are back legendarily. 10/10 must watch for any karateka in the world.
A masterpiece in Chinese cinema history, I was always a big fan of Chinese movies, especially kungfu movies, this one is above all, it beats Bruce Lee/Jet Li/Jackie to a pulp :)))
This movie has so many layers:
"Don't wait too long to say sorry, don't wait too long for love"
- Parents & children
- Classmates relation
- Dream & Reality
- Romance & Broken heart
- Hapiness & Sadness
- Color & Black and white
- House & Home
- Marriage & Love
- Life & Death
"Don't wait too long to say sorry, don't wait too long for love"
The main actor and actress are very cute but don't let their look fools you, they are all martial artist at their core. The story is a bit choppy but the actions are very smooth with a real life Muay Thai 7 times world champion (Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat) as a coach, no stuntmen are needed in this movies, all the moves are legit be it traditional martial art or modern MMA. The drama is a bit over-exaggerate but that's expected from a Vietnamese movie. The villain is super cool and also a legit fighter, no fancy moves, just straight up violence. I love this movie and have high hope in Vietnamese futures action stars like in this one. The 10 star is to compensate for low rating, this one is a solid 7/10 (8/10 if you like Vietnamese movies)
