It starts off a little slow and a little strange but the scenery makes up for it. There is some gorgeous scenery in the film especially in the beginning.
By the time it gets to chapter 3 it becomes a classic drama which had me crying. The acting is tremendous. LaKeith Stanfield should have gotten an award for acting.
I have never been able to get into bible stories by Black actors before, but watching this you forget all about race and see them as wonderful actors telling a great story.
The final scene is amazing.
It does contain two scene of sexual innuendo, but nothing you have not seen on Tv before.
It is a film I can watch again and again.

They say 'what was that" a lot in this stinker. I made it half way through and gave up. Most I would not get through the fact that they were walking around in what were essentially spacesuits at 15000 PSI. At that depth the moment they open the airlock they would be to the a red goo.
Why does everything have to have monsters to further the story. Isn't trying to save there lives at the bottom of the ocean enough. Maybe Apollo 13 should have had a space creature rip out power lines to disable the command module or the Titanic was sunk by a giant squid.
By the way (and to add enough characters to this review) the main character spend a lot of time at the beginning of the movie brushing her teeth with a dry toothbrush.

There are some interesting parts, most in the first 2 or 3 stories, after that it kind of trails off. The effects are well done and the music is well done if you like slow depressing music. The real problem with this series is that these are half hour episodes stretched out to an hour. There is so much walking, then stopping to ponder and then walk some more. There are minutes of people just staring off into space think about whatever. There are many places where you can skip ahead several minutes and not miss anything. Beside that I would have liked to have more about The Loop and what is going on there rather than the mundane lives of the people in the town.
