As someone who grew up in that part of the world I've become accustomed to tv shows whose producers and writers never stepped one foot into the world of Appalachia or Blueridge Mountain communities. However this show is so FEC#%ing stupid one show is all we could stomach. The premise, characters, and situations were just off base. I much prefer British crime dramas compared to Hollywood. At least the BBC sets up its characters and tries to make them relatable. The crazy thing is you're wishing for cliche by the first 5 minutes of this poor attempt at television. Watch it if you want, but I didn't care for it at all.
It's a pleasure to meet you Lionel Richie...."hello". It's that type of humor that leaves you wanting more. How can you make series so great and stop after the first season. I've always like the comedy of Simon Left and Nick Frost, but they really out done themselves this time. I'm sure making the series at the height of the world wide Covid sham would make anyone walk away and swearing never to do that again, but that criminal farce is over. Come on Simon, come on Nick go for a second season, third and fourth. I'm certain it will be a hit with the masses. This Yank really enjoyed this searies, even if it was just one.
