I liked the movie but did not loved it. The story was building up quite nicely till the 2nd third. After that it lost me a bit and got straight forward in terms of story telling. I guess if you work in retail or a restaurant you can follow its motivations more than I did and I found it hard to connect with Margot as the main protagonist. Unfortunately the finale was no real surprise and some parts are at the end not as fleshed out as I would have wished it. Nevertheless we had a good time. It was entertaining, gave us a new perspective, had some convincing twists and was good for a movie night with cheap snacks and beer ;)
This show drowns you in characters, drama and confusing dialogs. Gerald is more or less a side character and all the great world build of the Witcher universe was sacrificed for a story that is over hasty and boring at the same time. This show should tell a story about a man who tries to survive in a world full of racism, war and monsters till the point where it transitions away from this man to the daughter he has by accident.
What we get is a damsel in distress story, covered up by lots and lots of characters that are not properly introduced which why the audience can hardly follow their actions and motives. This culminated in a cluster f##k of cliffhangers at the and of season two.
