This story is based on a true-life incident involving an Indian police officer who goes to great lengths to avenge the death of a child. It delves into the complexities of global politics, showcasing how various state-level actors prioritize their own interests despite the odds stacked against them. While the story is undoubtedly inspiring, the screenplay could have been more well-crafted, making it predictable at times. However, the action sequences are visually appealing and believable, which adds to the overall viewing experience. If you're free in the evening after your work, I would recommend giving this movie a watch.
This limited series is based on a cyberattack that crippled the United States' electric grid and other critical systems for a minute. It's exceptionally well-written and presents a plausible idea about the weaponization of the US Constitution by malevolent actors. The central message of this series is that truth sets you free. It offers a compelling and entertaining portrayal of the consequences of inadequate checks and balances in our society. Robert DeNiro delivers a powerful performance as the main protagonist, and certain aspects of the story resonate with real-life events. I highly recommend watching this series on Netflix.
War 1 was renowned for its tight and gripping screenplay, but War 2 fell short in this regard. As a viewer, I found myself bored throughout most of the movie's runtime. While there were a few action-packed scenes, they lacked the intensity of letting the main protagonist take a risk and lose the fight. Without this element of uncertainty, the fight scenes became predictable and lost their appeal. For instance, one of the leading heroes performed a stunt that was practically impossible, making it clear that it was CGI-rendered, which reduced the movie's believability.
Another issue I had with the movie was its pre-release marketing. The focus was solely on the bikini scene of Kiara Advani, which seemed completely unrelated to the script and felt forced in its inclusion for marketing purposes. This marketing strategy exposed the bias against female actors, who, despite playing the roles of decorated military personnel, were portrayed as mere seductive pool swimmers.
In conclusion, I would recommend waiting for the movie's OTT release instead of watching it in theaters.
