The Shield
1.1 Pilot
I was skeptical of this new show, I mean how could America's lovable Commish (Michael Chiklis) fare as a take-no-prisoners tough guy cop? Turns out he would be utterly phenomenal as this episode (and the entire series) would show.
Vic Mackey is a cop who doesn't just bend the rules, he obliterates them, much to the chagrin of his Captain Aceveda who is planning a clandestine sting to bring him down (although he will still use Vic's questionable methods to close the case if push comes to shove)
In the pilot, Mackey and his Strike Team go about their duty while also getting their newest member, Terry Crowley (Reed Diamond of Homicide: Life on the Street fame) up to speed. Meanwhile, fellow Detectives Dutch and Claudette are on a case of a homicide that takes a dark turn.
Every member of the cast comes together to put out one of the best series premieres I've ever witnessed. The acting was great, the plot intriging and that cliff-hanger ending not only turned me into a fan of the show but also packs the same punch no matter how many times I watch the series (Oh I saw the entire series many many times, did I not mention that?)
This not only won an Emmy for Chiklis, but also nominations to Shawn Ryan for best writing and Clark Johnson for best directing of a drama episode (Both of which should have won as well that year in my humble opinion)

Bob's Burgers
1.2 Crawl Space
Bob seeking to get away from his in-laws and the awful noises his mother-in-law makes, pretends to be stuck in the crawl space after he fixes the leaky ceiling. This episode also introduces handyman Teddy and guidance counselor, Mr. Frond.
Another classic episode, I loved The Shining references and Tina's misadventures. Hilarious stuff.

Burger of the Day: Foot Feta-ish Burger (Thanks to Louise, Wall Bob wanted 'Never been Feta')
Bob seeking to get away from his in-laws and the awful noises his mother-in-law makes, pretends to be stuck in the crawl space after he fixes the leaky ceiling. This episode also introduces handyman Teddy and guidance counselor, Mr. Frond.
Another classic episode, I loved The Shining references and Tina's misadventures. Hilarious stuff.

I knew Bob's Burgers would be one of my favorite shows ever right from the first episode.
Bob forgets Linda's anniversary, but that's the least of their problems as the health inspectors visit due to Louise spreading a rumor that the hamburger is made from human flesh (Interestingly, the original concept of Bob's Burgers was a family of cannibals running a burger joint)
It's up to Linda (who was once engaged to Hugo) to ease over the situation, but things don't go well
This was my type of dry, sardonic humor. On my umpteenth rewatch of it I still laugh multiple times
