"The Fall Guy" is much more than just an action movie; it's an exhilarating journey into the world of stuntmen, a category often overshadowed by the dazzling lights of Hollywood. This film, with its gripping plot and memorable characters, sheds new light on these unsung heroes, proving that they deserve to be celebrated with a dedicated category at the Oscars.
What makes "The Fall Guy" so extraordinary is its ability to blend moments of pure adrenaline with irresistible comedic moments. Spectacular stunts are interspersed with brilliant banter, creating a perfect balance of action and fun.
At the heart of the film is the extraordinary chemistry between Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, who turn every scene into an explosion of energy. Their performances are so convincing that you find yourself rooting for them, even in the most dangerous moments.
Despite a simple plot and a touch of surrealism, this movie manages to keep audiences glued to the screen thanks to its frenetic sequence of events and its irresistible atmosphere. It's a film that grabs your attention from start to finish, leaving you craving to relive every thrilling moment.

Immersed in a whirlwind of contrasts, this film shines for its vibrant discordance: the music boldly out of sync with moments of raw violence, carrying the audience through a whirlwind of emotions. From tranquil to explosive, moments of calm and tension follow one another, weaving a gripping narrative. Not just an epic of war and breathtaking imagery, but also a profound exploration of human relationships. The cast, flawless, captivates the viewer, but special applause goes to Cailee Spaeny, whose magnetism steals the show. Let's hope her talent shines even brighter in the cinematic firmament! Moments of suspense build up to dizzying heights. Approved!
Amidst tepid expectations and mixed opinions I had heard, I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed this film. It was a fun experience! While not an incredible masterpiece, the two-and-a-half hours flew by, thanks to a simple yet effective storyline. Surprisingly, amidst the Marvel competition, they managed to carve their own path in the Multiverse narrative.
Reluctantly, I admit that Ezra Miller delivered a discreetly brilliant performance, and the chemistry between the two Barrys worked wonders. Kara's presence added an extra spark, but undoubtedly, Keaton's Batman stole the spotlight from everyone.
The best outcome of this film would be the return of Keaton as Bruce in a Batman Beyond adaptation. However, let's address the mammoth in the room, the CGI. It's an ENORMOUS problem! It's genuinely terrifying! The initial sequence showcasing Flash's first mission gave me nightmares, and Barry's suit with its flashy lights resembled Reynolds' Green Lantern costume, albeit with a bit more conviction.
Honestly, I have no idea where the Gunn universe will go from here. There's a single post-credit scene that was concealed from the press and early screenings, and unfortunately, it's horrendous! It might be the worst aspect of the entire film, and it would have been better if it hadn't been included!
All in all, it exceeded my expectations, but it falls short of being the savior of the DC universe.
