  • One of the greatest accomplishments in sci-fi filmmaking

"The mystery of life isn't a problem to solve, but a reality to experience.

A process that cannot be understood by stopping it.

We must move with the flow of the process.

We must join it; we must flow with it.

    Let go."

    The Beginning

    "Worm signs!"

This movie inspires me to sketch one of those marvelously engineered helicopters, known as 'Ornithopters.' What can I say? Easily my favorite sci-fi movie, boasting astounding world-building, story, visuals, and soundscapes-all unlocked without even seeing Part 2. It's truly remarkable how Denis Villeneuve dared to adapt a novel with such intricate political storytelling and deep themes of suffering and power, bringing it to life and transforming it into a cinematic paragon on the big screen. He skillfully knows how to orchestrate scenes in a breathtaking arrangement, make them stand out, and fill them with moments of impactful, enduring detail. Whenever a movie is described in this manner, we always find out the distinctive touch of Hans Zimmer's that completes its glory.

"Bless the maker and his water. Bless the coming and going of him."

I had goosebumps in that scene; it was my first time seeing the sandworm. The shot of the whole desert rising and exploding behind them, with Zimmer's incredible score in the background as the sandworm emerges, is one of the most exciting IMAX experiences you can ever have.

I am currently urging myself to start watching Part Two ASAP. After repeatedly watching the trailer and feeling more hyped than ever before, I am absolutely certain that this cinematic event, with its grand scope and scale, demands for me to be experienced on the big screen.

  • Enthralling courtroom drama

Did she do it? That's the question that kept my eyes wide open and made me so hyped throughout this entire enthralling courtroom drama. In fact, I was challenged to do the work along with the jury and perceive exactly what Daniel felt. This film's realism really connected with me. It was so accurate and stressful that I forgot I was watching a film. I felt like I was watching a true story or the news or something. That is why it was very skillfully executed and well acted, as we have seen a brilliant performance from the leading actress, Sandra Hüller, who convincingly conveyed a dynamic variety of emotions.

And the Oscar goes to... Messi (the dog's real name). Feels ironic, right? Haha.

  • A heart-pounding experience.

The sound design precisely depicts each scene with its own unique level of intensity, leaving a long-lasting impression on the soul. Ludwig Göransson was at his peak. I got the playlist right here, listening on repeat. I recommend taking time to dive into the history and learn a little bit of science before watching, just the basics like atoms and what they are made of, which contributes to knowing nuclear fission and fusion. While the film would feel amazing on a second watch, I think it was, however, unnecessarily long. My favourite moments with the film were without a doubt during the Trinity Test sequence; I felt it with all my senses and that countdown was so intense that my heart was beating so fast.
