So I enjoyed this movie for what it was. It gave Season 1 of The Office (US) where it treaded the line of concerning content but some dry humor gave me some giggles. The content is kind of bland in that you weren't overly excited about anything that was happening but you were kind of entertained. Both of the main actors did a great job but Dylan O'Brien has my heart. Ike was definitely giving Michael Scott vibes while Dylan was giving Jim mixed with Dwight vibes. Is this a a slap your leg, pee your pants type of funny? No. Are you going to get the same laugh as a Seth Rogen or Will Ferrel movie? No. Is it going to give you a few giggles and leave you slightly satisfied? Yes. If you don't mind Season 1 of The Office, you will enjoy this.
So I like many others on here was extremely upset watching the first episode. Nothing seemed the same as the books which I love with all my heart and I didn't feel like I could enjoy it. But I read reviews saying to keep an open mind and honestly I'm glad I did.
While a lot of the plot is completely different from the books the underlying themes are still the same. They are doing things in a faster pace but I'd like to think it's so they can add more and new things that will make it more interesting.
Some parts are cheesy specifically with Lissa and Christian. But the parts with Rose and Demitri are fun and flirty!
I am giving 8/10 only because I was looking forward to the show being like the books and so I'm slightly disappointed by that. But all around I would say this is going to be a solid show and I hope more people see that!

This show is so much more progressive compared to how some shows will bring these same elements into their stories. The characters continue to develop and learn to love themselves and teach viewers to do the same. This is such a beauty of show that if done right could go on for a long time and I truly hope it does!
