I love Weird Al but this was garbage. I don't think I even smiled after the first 15 or 20 minutes or so into the movie. By the time it reached the halfway point I was fast forwarding just to get past what I hoped was a just lull in the comedy. Boy was I wrong. The comedy, what little there was to begin with, never came back. It just continued to get more and more idiotic. The concept is great. Tell his story and embellish it a bit. But this went to some places that left me wondering why I was even still watching. The Al character could not have been played with less humor or energy. All in all, the opening scene of him being pronounced dead was extreme foreshadowing of how funny the movie would be.
Why do directors insist on putting spooky music and sound effects into documentaries about ghosts? If you need the added hype you have a boring documentary. If something is going on we can't hear it through your added noise. How many times did someone aske if others heard something and the audience has no idea what they are talking about.
Great premise th though. I like the 2 week stay. For such a haunted location they really didn't come back with much.
