I feel it was a wrong decision not to bring Mudeok (Su Min) back in Season 2. I couldn't feel the essence of Mudeok's character in the new actress at all. The contrast between them felt like two completely different people, leaving a gap in the story that was never properly filled.
It was sad to see the Season 1 actress go through so much pain and unfairness. Her character's truth-that she was just a girl who lost her father and was manipulated by a villain-was never fully acknowledged by everyone. At the very end, she was still referred as another person (Buyeon).
Her life was actually more tragic than the male lead's, yet only he received recognition. She was remembered merely as a scary assassin until the very end. Despite having 28 episodes in total, the drama still missed some of its most important parts.
Mudeok was the heart of the story, standing like a spirit throughout the narrative. Replacing the actress made it feel like I was watching an entirely different series.

It has a good start, then the drama began to be too dark and unhuman. I know they wanted to portrait a situation during war time, but I had watched many history drama and films that havent gone too ugly like this. It just after all about betraying, faking, and killings. It has nothing good to present to people at all. The lead role ( Ming lou), from begining till end, all he gave is the act of faking. It's too boring watching people faking their character. From episode 30, the drama made a crazy twist that kills many people which doesnt feel that it is a smart move or even necessary at all. Many nonsense happens.
I decide to watch the drama because the fighting at the begining was very impressive, however, it turned out that it was the only best sense throughout epi 1 to 40. Astory continue, it turns to be very difference. It really bothering with simple story line, an a simple investigation like any other drama that feel very mudane. The main lead is stupid and stubborn, keep waiting to die from the start til the end. It just a repeat of the same plot. The second lead is very annoying, and the chemistry is zero too! What should be more interesting is the third lead, then have a strong character, but been putting away from the drama and appear very less! Suck!
