Ok every time Sherri shows up on this show it is so fun! This has to be the best work of her career, she is hilarious and so spot-on as a progressive politician. Kimberly's interactions with her were fantastic-"It's ok-it's just my daughter's shrill roommate" lol-what a fun duo. The way Sherri's character handled the scandal was PERFECT.
Loved the union storyline-it was deep, real, and also managed to be really fun.
Eric's gay dads were hilarious!! Really cool how they were just there being themselves as his parents and them being gay wasn't the storyline-we need more representation like this. And Bella and the dome!
Leighton is ridiculous and I'm going to miss her so much, ugh.
My heart is overflowing with gratitude to Mindy and team for making this highly entertaining show-thank you, thank you, thank you :)

One of my favorite episodes of the series and it's so incredible to watch 40 years later and witness this amazing period of activism that truly did end up making a difference in the world. I loved how they showed so many sides to the issue and connected South Africa and the U. S.' civil rights movement so seamlessly.
Not only was the episode deep, but there were plenty of hilarious Sondra moments (when they asked "who's there?" and she yelled "Sondra!" in her perfect voice I cackled with joy, as I always do when Jackée speaks hehe). The moments of messiness walking around the house were great too.

When will Alex catch a break?? She just gets screwed more and more every episode, facing tragedy after tragedy. She's so epic and I'm rooting so hard for her so this makes it hard to watch.
The ending for another character this episode was an absolute disgrace to that character. They deserved much better, I can't believe the writers went that direction.
A big turning point episode for the assistant. It seemed like he was warming up to Alex and respecting her but now that's very questionable. A quite despicable guy.
I also really dislike Alex's ex. The way he showed absolutely no emotion as he was being taken away from his distraught wife was toxic masculinity at its finest. Why would either of them want to be with someone so cold, detached, and just boring??
