Petula Clark ( International Award for Continental Europe)
I remember watching this on the BBC when I was 15 years old and became a lifelong fan .Sadly BBC TV did not preserve it but the audio turned up in 2021 and became available on cd and later vinyl .
" My name is Petula' " is a medley which emphasised Petula's International stardom and how different countries messed up pronouncing her first name "Typically English" was a clever song written by her friends Anthony Newley ( who she appeared with in some of her childhood films and in 1974 would open for her at Caesars Palace Las Vegas) ) and Leslie Bricusse who would the following year write the music for her film "Goodbye Mr Chios " with Peter O'Toole which was released in 1969 .During the song (with modified words ) Petula would act as a demure typically English girl and then she took off her outer gown to reveal a mod mini-skirt which was all the rage at the time .
Other songs included her her current U. K. #1 hit written by Charlie Chaplin., her Grammy winning American #1 hit Downtown , " My love'" (which made her the first British female singer to top the American charts twice ) "How are thing in Glocca Morra " from her forthcoming Hollywood film "Finian's Raunbow" , and a show stopping performance of "Just say goodbye " for which she wrote the music .

As a Petula Clark fan I was interested to see this movie, and having watched it a few times now even if Petula wasn't in it,I would say it is an excellent British movie of its era ,and paved the way for British hospital TV dramas such as Emergency Ward Ten in the 60's through to "Casualty" in the 21st century. The acting by the whole cast is superb ,and I would love to see this movie on DVD and hope that one day it will get the recognition it deserves. Googie Withers is a very under-rated actress and plays her part to perfection, and great to see many good performances from James Donald,Moira Lister, and Jean Anderson. This film rarely gets shown on TV so write in to your TV stations to get it shown!
