I like how the movie focused on the cultural values versus the teen chick flick love story. It was age appropriate for the featured love team and highlighted the good about the teenagers today.
I feel for Ashley, though she's longing for the love and support of family, she continues to love them and stay, she's broken inside but continues to be cheerful for her sisters.
Chuck represents the teens that never give up, though his family gave up on their shoe business already, he was there tried to prove them that there is still hope. And as a son, you can be that image of hope for your family, for your parents.
This is a good break from movies or series that feature teenage violence, strained parent-children relationship, infidelity, and all other negative portrayal of a family. Highlighting on the positive is the way to go! Kudos to the people behind this film! Thank you for introducing us to Chuck and Ashley!
