I'd recently seen the excellent Nekrotronic on Amazon Prime and this came up in the suggested films after it finished.
I'm not one to care about watching films in order and the fact I'd never heard of Slasher House 1 intrigued me, It was evident moments in that this was a no budget production and a quick search told me it was made for less than £5000.
I was blown away and that alone had me hooked, but, obviously expecting the worst. What these guys did on this money is nothing short of insane, the story itself was a little all over the place (which I put down to not seeing the first one) but the colours, the characters and just the sheer gusto. I was totally into it.
I've made some small movies in my time, so I know how difficult something, even very simple to pull off can be, one of the characters in this was a giant monster skeleton done for REAL (No CGI)!!! on a 5K film?!!!??
If you liked Nekrotronic, then this is THAT, but pulled off on an absolute fraction of the budget. I decided I'd give it a 9 for just the sheer boldness of it.
I just checked and its as also made 3 years BEFORE that movie!!!
I had a blast with this. Really inspirational movie making.
I'm not sure what the first one entailed. But I'm pretty excited to find it.
