Without a doubt Netflix have excelled themselves with this part . It can be taken for granted so easily the quality of the photography and screenplay as the storyline is so gripping .
Very useful in following the line of history of the key characters to show how and why they came there. Many of us had surely lived through these years but pulling the events together in a cohesive way was many times better than scattered memories of sensational news items we had followed at the time .
Many lessons indeed for politicians today. Finally whatever you might have felt of any of the characters the Queen always shined through.

The photography creates the atmosphere setting for the story brilliantly. Great to see Sir Michael do a serious role which he does so well. Complimented by Jody Comer here in this TV programme in the early stages of her climb to fame.
There are just so many of them around and this just did not do something extra albeit it was made from a female point of view showing the Queens very clear and growing influence over a weak King. Unfortunate they did not let the Queen be Head if State in those days ! It was a great and believable performance by Jody Comer and we hear on the grapevine she enjoyed making it a lot . It shows . An up and coming British Actress of whom we can all be proud.
