Pretty hilarious if you mention Disney IMDb takes the review down after hundreds of positive votes just like on the alien earth page so let's try again. . Well here we are again. Another Entry in the enigmatic and wildly polarizing Predator Franchise. As a huge fan for well over 3 decades I've always celebrated the new films. I have found something to love in each and every one . Recently the hype has returned over the last few years as Dan Trachtenberg has taken the reins as the creative vision for Predator lore. (With Disney overwatch).
I thought prey was decent enough though again the story was insanely thrown together and the buzz was overblown. Killer of killers was fun yet again had some interesting choices made yet again with human characters and decisions in writing . As an animated film I can overlook that slightly. Enter The Badlands::::
With this recent chapter, we get the most Yautja centric story so far with some of the most intriguing scenes into their worlds and ways so far. The imagery is pure brilliance and the concepts are very well executed . You can tell Trachtenberg has been a fan for years by what he wants to show the audience and the adventurous spirit this film has. It will blow fans of the franchise away by the sheer visuals . Now with this once again comes a story that just makes some odd decisions in plotting and certain agenda based undertones . This is where I believe Disney Interferes like they naturally always do. Without getting too into detail some of these choices will (alienate) fans and some may let it ruin the experience. You have to wonder what the future will be of alien and predator at this rate ....
overall this film has some big time innovation and lore building, and most importantly ACTION and lots of it . It's definitely the strongest entry of the recent films and it does build a potential set up to some grand things in the future.

It's honestly an embarrassment to the fans of the franchise and just horror in general. It's as if they just took the worst cgi slop scares they could and tried to make them extra disturbing by adding some underlying anti birth imagery into it .This is pure and utter nonsense and the visuals look almost AI level bad . Done with this absolutely terrible series. TikTok generation loves it....
The original books and TV show remain etched in so many of our hearts and minds that true goosebumps fans have waited for something that actually felt like the old classics for decades. With two very mediocre movies, and a few terrible seasons of very badly written series (fear street included), we get the most random one that would be a tubi original in pumpkinhead. If you would've told me it would've come in this format as a tubi original movie I would've been shocked, but here we are.
From the beginning, it has that old school feel with zany characters and creepy visuals. The writing is perfectly adapted from the short story in 1999 from stine that was also part of the nightmare hour show in 2011 similar to goosebumps. . It's right out of his signature style at every turn. But perhaps the one thing that's done even better is the overall classic monster creature design that the original series had so much of. It's brilliantly executed and actually rather disturbing for the adolescent horror genre . With all of these aspects it's honestly an excellent modernized bit of that old school goosebumps brilliance, and everything that the meager attempts lacked of the past decade. Would absolutely love to see more films in this vein.
