Marathi films don't get the props they deserve, especially the horror genre. If Amruta Subhash is in the film, you give it a serious shot. Jarann, a psychological horror, is definitely worth a that shot. Slow, but that's kinda expected of this genre.
The first 5-10 mins make you make a prediction, next 85% of the film makes you think you've predicted the plot only to find out that you might have been right but with a twist that you didn't see coming. Amruta was good but it felt like the script gave her one scene for each emotion and it felt very....template-y. I don't think she was given the opportunity to do what she's done in the past.
All that said, the film is definitely still worth a worth, especially to support Marathi cinema.

I remember reading the name of this film back when the trailer released, later when the film released on Netlix back in June and thought "Since I don't listen to KPop, looks like it's not for me." Didn't even watch the trailer. Late August, the film had a limited theatrical release for "One Weekend Only!" and went house-full. Unheard of. I then read that the songs have legit been rated in the Billboard Hot 100 for several weeks, with one song on # 1 for 10 weeks or something...!?
Finally got around to it, and like me, if you've slept on this film, please don't. Watch this film right away, it will quite possibly end up being one of the best films of the year!!
Visuals - This film is visually stunning. If you liked the 'Spiderverse' animation, you're gonna like this. Watch this film at night, with the lights off.
Audio - If you're not into K-POP, you're still gonna really enjoy the sound design. It was epic. The songs will get you and you will get sucked into it and then "the songs were actually not bad". If you're into K-POP, this is gonna be one of the best cinematic experiences for you this year.
Plot - Loved how they made a 'period drama' set in present day pop-culture. 84 mins - Loved the runtime. The film conveys the background in the first few mins and once it takes off, there's no time to pause. The humor in the film is great! I tried to think where I'd cut points, and I don't think I can find anything about the film that I didn't enjoy.
This is the film that Disney has been trying SO HARD to make (perhaps since Frozen 1) for so long and it's not panned out for them. Indian cinema with an audience of a billion+ people conditioned to musicals has not be able to have a successful film with 6 banger songs in a long long time.
Watch this film for a fun entertaining 1.5 hours (and potentially several rewatches and several hours of listening to the songs) Watch it with the elders in the family and watch it with the kids. It's fun.

Brilliant first half (had me constantly questioning where all of it was going) and a cliched (but still very watchable) 2nd half.
I'm surprised someone of Fahad's stature continues to play roles like these (Good! More should) Vadivelu was brilliant. I would love to see him play a godfather-like role, set in Madurai. I'd love to see these two team up once again.
I feel like this film didn't receive enough appreciation but I also think that it had the potential to be a banger film, and didn't live up to it's expectation. As much as this film was a bit of a missed opportunity, I'd would still recommend it. One of the better Tamil movies to come out this year so far.
