Pretty rare to come across a wildly action packed movie that could be so boring. The camera work is an unwatchable mess, jerky and hard to follow. As a result, the story gets lost because it's just too hard to see what's going on as a result.
Like others said, it's basically 2-hours of unlimited bullets. It's the movie equivalent of a mediocre video game. I'm still not entirely sure what I just watched, just kinda bummed it wasn't a better movie. It feels like years since someone made a decent action or comedy film. Shame on me for thinking Netflix would figure it out, the search continues. Better luck next time.

Original cast: check
Original soundtrack: check
Reformulated original story: check
This would be a 1-star movie if it weren't for the nostalgic memories of the original film. Typical of Hollywood, they took what worked and turned it up to 11 and completely destroy the magic in the process. At first glance it should have worked, but man, it felt like they weren't really trying.
The use of the "Axel F" theme music is borderline abusive as I'd bet it is playing for over 50% of the movie. I mean they just Beat. It. Into. The. Ground.
What's the point of having the original cast if they are absent for most of the movie?
Really it just wasn't that good. Feels like a cash grab, and it's clear Eddie hasn't done this for a while.

The premise was fun: professor turns undercover hitman and comedy ensues. This unfortunately spun into something else altogether. Acts 1-2 stick to the formula pretty well, some laughs, some intrigue, but never fully develops the main character. I was watching it with my wife and it failed to keep her attention even with Hollywood's current flavor of the month on the screen.
Enter the love interest..... let's see where this leads. Off the rails is where it goes for one of the more wtf movie endings I've ever seen. I'll avoid spoilers, but it was so bad, so bizarre, my wife got up and left the room saying "I can't watch this." It left me thinking they must have skipped the test screening because no normal audience with any kind of basic moral compass would have liked the ending.
It's amusing that Glenn Powell is being shoved down our throats at a firehose level these days. He's a good looking fella with moderate talent, but oof does he come off as someone you just want to throat punch. Many more of these duds and I suspect we won't see as much of him shortly. So tired of the hype machine tricking me into watching mediocre garbage.
