Love, Death & Robots: Three Robots (2019)
Fallout + Borderlands
This kind remindee me of the atmosphere of Fallout New Vegas + Borderlands. Interesting little animation, somewhat thought provoking as we could do more to help the planet, I also loved the cat at the end.
LA 92 (2017)
LA 92
It gave a pretty good overview of the LA Riots. I didn't like the fact I had to Google that it was the largest riot in US history. Although I did know I had kind of forgotten.
I feel like I had seen most of the clips before, the one of Rodney King getting beaten has always been. Apparently that Jury saw something the rest of us didn't. I was dumbfounded by the decision of the judge in the Du murder trial, apparently she gave a man beating a dog a worse sentence. Clearly nobody has been murdered within her own family before.
I was surprised some of the people getting beaten actually survived, the way they looked. The fires and the store owners getting looted was a pretty sad sight.
Secrets of the Saqqara Tomb (2020)
Saqqara Tomb
It seems ridiculous to me, that Egypt would cut funding, because I was trying to google this documentary, and what they found seemed to be a lot of new discoveries that made headlines throughout the news. I feel like it was just to add some kind of timed pressure within the documentary.
The documentary itself was okay, it tell the story of a family that possibly died of malaria, making it the oldest known case in the world. They also found the first mummified lion cub in Egypt among other things. The editing was okay and the story itself was interesting.
Trial by Media: Big Dan's (2020)
Irony
Isn't it ironic that a country of immigrants is complaining about immigrants?
Interesting that this was the first televised court trial in the US. They leaked the victims name immediately. I gotta admit I though it was a fake accusations to begin with, but it clearly wasn't.
I feel sad for Cheryl, may she rest in peace.
Trial by Media: King Richard (2020)
King Richard
I don't think the case was as interesting as some of the other ones, but I enjoyed the interviews. We didn't see much from the actual court, but they explained it in great detail. The ending segment was funny.
Trial by Media: 41 Shots (2020)
41 Shots
This is what happens with the current gun laws in the US. Police gets paranoid, and it becomes a question between life and death. I think there was another case similar to this one fairly recently as well.
I disliked the camera angles of the interviews. There's no question they were guilty. It's not even self defense.
Trial by Media: Subway Vigilante (2020)
Interesting
I've heard about this case before and I find it very interesting. Especially because people still discuss whether it was self defense or racism.
I still question whether a civil lawsuit should have even been allowed afterwards, considering the court ruled that it was self defense. Although obviously it is questionable I guess that's what matters in that situation.
Can't say anything bad about the episode, I looked up Goertz and apparently he got caught selling pot to a "pretty" female police officer, whom didn't know whom he was a couple of years back.
Trial by Media: Talk Show Murder (2020)
Was TV responsible?
Did anybody win in this? The answer is obviously not. Do I think the TV show was responsible for what happened? To a certain degree yes. I do find it weird they didn't take responsibility.
Most people are still growing up in a world where it's embarrassing to be gay, but that's no reason to kill.
Maybe he didn't actually mean to kill him, but then why would he bring a gun. Makes no sense.
I like the people interview, I like the fact that it wasn't super one sided and we got interviews from both of the lawyers.
Knock Down the House (2019)
Mostly about AOC
Let's be honest - this documentary was mostly about AOC. It was very touching to see the other candidates and their commitment. I would've loved to see their reactions when AOC won.
If there's something AOC understands it's how to great a good campaign, and I believe that's why she won. I'm not American, nor do I really care for the political system, but you can tell she has a passion for change.

Winter on Fire: Ukraine's Fight for Freedom (2015)
Winter on Fire
This was incredibly disturbing to watch even though I had seen most of it before from news clips and YouTube. For whatever reason I didn't realise the protests lasted that long. They shouldn't have lasted that long.
The documentary was very eye opening, well put together and interesting to watch overall.
The most disturbing part were the Berkut. I hope they feel shameful to this day. Imagine beating and shooting peaceful protests. I'm glad they got disbanded.
Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez (2020)
Boring at times
I mean.. It was an interesting topic in terms of the damage to the brain, but maybe a little boring for someone whom isn't from the US. We don't play american football here, literally half the documentary could've been cut in Europe and it would have been fine.
Et langsomt mord (2020)
A slow murder
"A slow murder" Adrian is looking into the death of his father. What happened when he grew up, and how it affected his childhood.
The documentary was a bit slow to begin with and some of the overall topic becomes less relevant if you aren't from Denmark.
The parts I found most interesting from an international perspective were when Adrian was talking to victims of sexual abuse, as well a colleague to the abuser.
Surviving Death: Signs from the Dead (2021)
More Mediums
I skipped past the episodes with mediums, yet there was still a bunch of mediums in this one. It was interesting enough that I watched it, I've heard a lot of the stories before on the internet.
Surviving Death: Mediums Part 1 (2021)
Mediums
I honestly don't really care about "medium school" seemed a little bit pointless.
Surviving Death: Near-Death Experience (2021)
Same people
The stories are very interesting, as well as the topic surrounding near death experiences, but I feel like everytime I have watched anything about it, it's always the same people.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013)
It's great!
The start of the show was a little bit slow - the first couple of seasons I expected it to be another one of "those" shows, if you know what I mean.
One of the things that makes this show great is the characters. I've always loved Coulson. The relationship between Fitz-Simmons was just fantastic.
Another thing was the special effects, they didn't seem as half-assed as some of the other shows I've watched with a similar genre.
I feel like the show maybe lasted for a little bit too long, while I'm saying this, I kind of wish the show was still going.
Some of the last episodes were very interesting, I loved it when they were in different time periods.
Australia with Simon Reeve: Episode #1.1 (2013)
Interesting
I've learned some new things about Australia. Honestly, I might move to Kalgoorlie now. I thought it would've been more ironic if they found gold in the town of Norseman.
Very interesting episode, but it feels a little bit all over the place. We went from invasive camels, to fish, to gold, to angry aboriginals. I honestly just thought the aboriginals were angry because they were jealous of the gold being discovered, although I'm surprised at how poor they were in an area with that amount of wealth.
Cats (2019)
Please.. Make me forget!
I wanted to watch this movie with an open mind knowing its reputation, but honestly. The visuals are worse than I thought. I'm afraid I might get nightmares. Please.. Make me forget!
The Innocent Man (2018)
Important topic
I will say the topic matter is very important and I'm glad we got the perspectives of most people involved so it wasn't as one sided as it could've been. I don't think there's any great conspiracy, I do think it was very severe negligence from the investigators involved however. It's everyones worst nightmare.
I enjoyed the series overall, nice editing - although some scenes were a bit slow at times, good interviews and an important topic.
John Wick (2014)
Wickrolled
I always imagined 'John Wick' being like an old western with a guy in a wig.
The movie is heavily reliant on its action scenes, as a result there's not much dialogue. I'm aware this is an action movie, but at times the even the scenes felt a bit bland and generic.
I've heard John Wick has become an instant cult-classic, and it was actually recommended to me by my mother. We get to meet some interesting characters, but maybe it was a bit overhyped. I feel wickrolled.
Nobody Speak: Trials of the Free Press (2017)
Interesting topic, little depth
I think freedom of the press is very important and the topic is very interesting. Fortunately for me, I live in a country and am surrounded by countries, where we actually respect the press and have some of the greatest freedom of press in the world according to reporters without borders.
It feels like this documentary only touched on certain trials and subjects exceptionally quickly and I wished it would've been more in depth overall. It was a very one sided affair in terms of interviews, and I wasn't overly impressed with the outcome. The documentary felt a bit rushed in general and it wouldn't have been something I expected from Netflix.
Bright (2017)
Generic
Generic action movie set in an interesting universe(inspired by World of Warcraft?)
I thought the worldbuilding needed more exploration, you could've replaced every single race in the movie and the outcome would've been pretty much the same. Perhaps a series would've been a better choice.
The script was literally "oh. I'm forced to work with that guy" "Wait a minute... I actually kind of like this guy now" sort of thing that's kind of typical for some Hollywood movies.
Pardon My Icelandic (2020)
I'm a Dane
This was planned.
Like he couldn't understand people saying "Winter is coming" I couldn't understand the fun in the Danish jokes, because most of what Ari said was just the truth.
The Dig (2021)
I'm digging it!
The movie was a bit of a culture shock for me. In Denmark we have similar mounds to the one being dug in the movie. They're often left untouched as a form for respect to the dead. Whether it's a recent law I don't know - but archeological finds in Denmark belong to the state. Always. It's actually illegal to not report findings to a museum because it's a national treasure, you *technically* don't own it, even if it's on your land.
I enjoy the movie, I thought the storytelling was great. The fact that it was based on real events made it even greater. I'm digging it!
