When this show first debuted I didn't watch it. I would just go to the end to see what celebrity they were related to but it wasn't much fun because I didn't know the contestants and wasn't invested in their stories because I didn't know anything.
Some point during Season 3, I finally watched an episode in full and I was hooked. I really thought it was going to be stupid with a bunch people living together but I was 100% wrong.
So, I went and binged watched season 1 and season 2 and I felt so stupid for not giving it a chance. I really missed out because I already knew who a lot of them were related to.
Now for Season 3 I've seen all the episodes in full and will continue to do that for every season that comes out.
It's not stupid at all. There are a lot of fun personalitites and the trickery that goes on is fun. The guessing is the best part. I also like the games which are a bit over the top sometimes but they're related to discovering clues to who's related to who so that makes it much more fun.
I still don't get the talent show part at the beginning of the seasons. But that's the only one.
I hope this stays on forever and I hope they release 2 seasons a year.
It's phenomenal. Brings me so much joy.
A few things I don't like about it is the voto booth part, it takes way too long and I'm impatient.
The fact that they let it be known who the celebrity relative is if someone has guessed it correctly.
The clues are too easy sometimes and it's so obvious who the celebrity relative is. Like in Season 3 with Dedrick, that was so obvious. You could bet money on that without a care.
At the end of Season 3, for some odd reason one of the final 3 told 2 former contestants who he was related to right before the finale and not only was that stupid (I get that he felt no one would be able to guess him because he had all the cards in his hand but still) but they also told the audience at home.
How cool would it have been to be completely surprised at who his relative was on the finale. Just edit out that part.
No one guess that person, they were focused on a different genre so it would have been a huge surprise for the audience at home.
I see that are fixing it especially after season 1 but they could do a bit better at concealing the celebrity identities for as long as possible. Some parts just need to be edited out.
But, I don't care whatever I love this show!

I am very surprised that with all the film groups I'm apart of (mostly horror) that no one has ever mentioned or recommended this movie. I assumed it was new until I just now saw the year it came out.
It's edgy, crazy, dark, silly, outrageous, offensive and quirky/sarcastic.
These aren't the type of movies I watch but I found the detention part intriguing with the kids locked in a room together, what could go wrong?
Everything it seems.
The characters were very outrageous and over the top which was on purpose.
It was interesting not knowing what was going to happen next. I had no idea where the story was headed so that piqued my curiosity which held my attention the entire movie.
The pay off was really good because the whole reason for everything is explained and it's like wow ok. The whole part with the rorschach tests. I didn't see that coming.
I didn't see any of that ending coming which was a nice surprise. Quite a few things happened within a few minutes so you have to make sure you're paying attention so you don't miss the twists and turns back to back to back.
This is good for those who enjoy over the top teen horror movies and even for those who enjoy mystery and twists.
It was much better than I expected.
I couldn't did without the 2 offensive words that were used. Seemed kinda odd that they would say that in 2012 but it is meant to be stupid silly at some points due to some of the characters. It was still cringe, especially the racial slur. That seemed out of place and made me feel uncomfortable.

When I saw the trailer I knew this movie was going to be fast paced and full of suspense, dread and mystery so I rented it and I am so glad I did.
The trailer made the movie seem to obvious such as we already know what happend and probably what's going to happen so why bother?
However, that wasn't the case at all. As soon as the movie came on and it didn't begin where I assumed it would, I thought to myself, that's smart.
The twist comes towards the beginning and it's only a twist if you've seen the trailer.
What I enjoyed about it the most and why I gave it 9 starts out of 10 is because of the suspense watching him trying not to get caught with a dead body and guests all over the premises.
He can't focus on his birthday which adds another layer to the uncomfortableness (in a good way) we feel for his character because everyone can see something's not right with him and he knows this but he can't snap out of his sense of dread of being caught.
He's constantly going around trying to prevent guests from finding the dead body. He suspects that someone might already know what happened so it makes everyone look suspicious.
I figured out what the second twist would be but I definitely didn't have any evidence to prove it, I just know movies.
But I wasn't disappointed because technically it wasn't obvious and the way everything transpired towards the end isn't what I was expecting.
I felt like I was watching something really different from all the other movies that was exciting with a knot in your stomach.
Now, why I didn't give it 10 stars is because of the ridiculously stupid things that the characters did that we're so unbelievable.
This isn't a spoiler but why are you having an affair in the daylight on your property that you share with your wife and kids? One of whom you were expecting home soon. Anyone could have saw them.
There are some other things too that made me go, really? That's so stupid but hey maybe some people really do behave this way in real life. Actually I'm quite sure they do but it's different watching it in a movie.
But other than the stupid choices that were made, the whole movie was fast paced, exciting, dreadful (in a good way), suspenseful, dramatic and full of mystery which was a pleasant surprise that I wasn't expecting going into it.
Also, I don't like to say this because I like Freddie Prinze Jr but his acting is a bit off. I mean he can act and I totally believed him but the sound of his voice doesn't match the look on his face. It sounds almost corny. Y'all remember that line from "I know what you did last summer" right? His character said "I got a letter!".
It was so awkward the way his voice sounded and yeah it's like that throughout this movie too.
But it was fine because I like him and I know that's just how his voice sounds. He definitely made me feel for what he was going through. He had that dread look on point.
The father in law was a funny surprise. His personality made things more fun.
So, just know these characters do very stupid things especially the main one but if you can overlook that and just get into the movie from the main character's perspective then you'll have a really good time like I did.
