I must preface this by saying I greatly enjoyed the first 2 John Wick movies. This series is just awful. The plot is all over the place and the characters are unlikable, I mean, are we supposed to sympathize with the lead because he's fighting the rich? I was actually rooting for Mel Gibson's character, overlooking his horrendous accent. The set is perpetually dark (I assume to hide the choreography) I couldn't even bother to care. I'm usually the one in the family that has to explain what's going on but I just wasn't interested enough to pay attention. There could be some interesting stories in the John Wick universe but this isn't it. I really hope they don't continue this series, it's embarrassing.
I wanted to like this. I couldn't wait to see it. Now, I just wish I had watched something else. Disappointing to say the least. Have the writers ever seen a good who-dunnit? As for the characters, good grief! The lead was horrible, I'm not familiar with her so I'm hoping it was just this movie making her look bad, for her sake. Her character was annoying and I'm not sure why any of the other characters even listened to her. I didn't care about any of them so it was pretty useless. The confession at the end was ridiculous. I really hope they don't make a sequel. They should apologize to Agatha Christie.
I watched the first and second season. Unfortunately, I just can't talk myself into liking the lead. The way she is written makes her an annoying brat who thinks her way is the only way and uses everyone around her. I feel like the writers are trying for a supernatural Veronica Mars and it doesn't work. I like the other characters but Nancy just kills it for me. She treats the adults around her like crap, unapologetically lives rent free not to mention her and her friends never actually work. How is the restaurant still in business? The plots just zoom along going from slightly interesting to all out ridiculous. On a whiny side note: it's pronounced "Portents" not "Porents"
