Just... mail a copy of the brief to every news outlet? It's not a terrible thriller if you don't think about the underlying story, but if you do... Darcy is running around hiding a few pieces of paper. She has no personal knowledge, she merely cleverly put the pieces together. All she has to do to protect herself is go to Kinkos and then mail a copy to every reporter and news org there is. Certainly everybody's already thinking there just might be a connection between two supreme court justices being offed.
The more underlying plot that someone would hire a hit man to off two SCOTUS judges because a ruling they might make regarding a piece of land is likewise ridiculously implausible in the first place.
Definitely turn off the brain for this one.
