If you are looking for an action-packed film that keeps you on the edge of your seat, this is definitely NOT it. But, if you are looking for a movie that is overflowing with human emotion, connection, and the power of kindness, you've hit the jackpot with "A Man Called Otto". Tom Hanks is absolutely brilliant, and his character's story provides a moving combination of laughter and tears. As someone who has read the original book, "A Man Called Ove", I was pleased with how they upheld the story, while adapting the setting to the United States. I would highly recommend this movie. Ten out of ten!
This show was a delight: beautiful setting, characters, and storylines. I was instantly hooked, devouring this series in a weekend! It felt like a kick in the gut to realize there was no Season 2 after Season 1 concluded with cliffhangers. I can only hope a Season 2 gets made, these characters deserve happy endings!
So I like a good Christmas Hallmark movie, but let's be honest, I usually roll my eyes at least a dozen times. Between the cheesy banter and predictable plots, most of my laughter is ironic at best. Not so with this flick. I genuinely laughed a handful of times, and though you could see what was coming plot-wise, it warmed this cynic's heart. I really enjoyed the two main characters, and would definitely re-watch this film!
