While, on the whole, movie is almost flawless in the departments of camera, acting, music, dialogues, what I liked most was the unwavering viewpoint that the movie holds, offering always the perspective of the 11 year old boy.
It makes us get under his skin and realize what he is going through every moment and every frame. Amazing.
Various stages of trauma the boy undergoes is well captured. Despite being a slow movie, the underlying tension is always palpable.
This is one movie where the ceiling fan has a role to play and it plays it well. Only when you watch the movie carefully, will you notice this.
Only negative I felt was, the episode of the mentally disturbed boy in the shelter home and the related frames - it's avoidable.
Overall, an amazing movie, worth a watch. In fact, I am planning to watch it once more.

Horrible movie. First half of the movie was somewhat bearable but second half tests one's patience. I mean the same set of actions repeating. Also in this day and age of technology it can't be believed that a person's identity cannot be known. Keeping that as a theme and building a story of finding the identity is something that is archaic.
As usual, Karthi's acting is big let down. One doesn't know whether he is smiling or crying or staying expression less. They all look the same.
Coming from the Director of 96, there were a lot of expectations. But this movie is a serious disappointment.
In summary, there is nothing lost by skipping this movie. Maybe one can save money.

Began well and sounded very unique/novel. Bur after some time it became repetitive. In Indian movies, on the one hand you have the likes of heroes beating up 10 to 12 thugs in a sequential manner incredulity and on the other hand you have this movie types. I couldn't get what the movie was getting at. Dark comedy, my foot, there were only a few occasions where it tickled me. Promoting immorality and decadency under the garb of dark comedy is repulsive. Not one character in the movie is worthy enough. So what is the movie communicating? Forgery has to be promoted, murdering one's opponent is permissible, end justifies all ill means adopted (where the end is only a materialistic success). Sickening.
