Chitram is the kind of movie that one can watch numerous times and not get bored. It's considered to be a Malayalam classic. Although it has melodrama, Romance and action, this movie stands out for its Comedy. Lalettans acting is top notch. I want to rate this 8.5.
Sachi's last movie is his career best. Ayyappanum Koshiyum would be easily amongst the top 5 Malayalam movies ever made! This was such a compelling watch that after a point I didn't know whom to root for. Prithviraj and Biju Menon are brilliant in their roles. Some of the best fight scneces ever in Indian cinema are in AK. The whole movie was so realistic and so believable. Its as if I was a fly on the wall and watching the tensions between the two protagonists in real time. Oh the songs!! I'm addicted to the songs in this movie. Enjoyed every bit of this amazing film. Thank you Sachi for another master piece. We will miss you.
Without any usage of gore, rape scene, nudity etc Varathan manages to creep the hell out of you by solely relying on natural acting and effective Bgm. Never have I seen a movie where I could feel the chills of a character in my bones. I wanted to reach out to Priya and warn her, help her. Fahadh rocks the role of a helpless husband who is a townie and doesn't quite get the vibes of those villagers. Both the leads are given fantastic character arch. Even the villains have been casted perfectly. The last 30 mins is a edge of the seat roller coaster. Absolutely in love with this movie and I whole heartedly recommend it. Oh and Yes, you can watch it with family.
