tp-40455's rating
The film is nearly unwatchable due to the constant, grating whining in the background audio, which becomes more of a distraction than any form of atmospheric enhancement. This persistent noise undermines any attempt at immersion, pulling the viewer out of the experience at every turn. Compounding the issue are the action scenes, which are wildly unrealistic-it's as if the filmmakers were intent on outdoing every over-the-top thriller without the slightest concern for coherence or believability. Rather than building tension or excitement, the overblown spectacle becomes absurd and mentally exhausting. In the end, the combination of irritating sound design and chaotic, implausible action makes for a deeply frustrating and unpleasant viewing experience.
"Pathaan" tries to be an action-packed thrill ride but ends up stumbling over its own ambition. The action scenes are so ridiculously unrealistic that they border on absurdity, failing to suspend disbelief. Moreover, the dialogue is incredibly poor, lacking depth and failing to engage the audience. The fighting sequences, instead of eliciting excitement, often provoke laughter due to their sheer implausibility. Adding insult to injury, the actors deliver their lines with such wooden delivery that they might as well be robots. In essence, "Pathaan" is a disappointing attempt at an action film, marred by laughable action, poor dialogue, and robotic performances.
"Nowhere" is a film that misses the mark on multiple fronts. Its overly sentimental approach becomes grating, and the film's portrayal of most male characters as one-dimensional and evil feels misguided. The narrative overplays a mother's sacrifice and determination to the point of melodrama. Unfortunately, "Nowhere" fails to deliver a compelling or engaging storyline, leaving viewers with a sense of disappointment and wasted potential.
Watching "Nowhere" can be an exhausting experience, as the film subjects viewers to an overwhelming display of exaggerated challenges. The protagonist's seemingly superhuman abilities to overcome these challenges might come across as far-fetched and disconnected from reality. This overemphasis on her extraordinary powers to face adversity can make the film feel overbearing and lacking in relatability.
