Pimpernel_Smith's rating
A new series with a glitzy new intro and signature tune that sounds more like a western than a British drama series.
Sadly, for me, this makeover just didn't work and marked the start of the decline of this previously excellent series. So many things started to go wrong.
Too many irritating new characters are introduced. There are a number of increasingly unlikely storylines and inter-relationships.
There's also too much churn of cast over the remaining series, with long-standing and well-loved cast members disappearing for one reason or another with increasing regularity and, worst of all, sometimes hardly any reference to their departure made in the following episodes.
