This movie is a classic, and you can see the kernel of genius of Peter Jackson's film making. It's so tounge in cheek and full of that self-depricating New Zealand sense of humour. I love this movie, and still think Derek is one of the best heroes of all time.
I love that it was meant to be a short film, buy the mates making it just kept adding more and more.
Thank the gods for the NZ Film Commission.
Also love the mullets and the stubbie shorts.
