zanderhh2021's rating
Great actors and cool, elaborate production, great locations and an interesting interpretation of the vampire theme. If it weren't for the poorly made splatter movie scenes, the series would be even better. And if it were, then it needs to be done better. The last scene of the 8-parter, for example. Less would have been more. I really like the flashbacks to past centuries.
Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the series. Especially because of Ben's extremely cool brother, Theo von Greifenstein. But the little sister, the mother of the Greifenstein family and Zelda's family are also very well portrayed.
I would be very happy about a sequel.

I just saw the last two parts. Philipp Stölzl directed that one (Schachnovelle). It's actually pretty terrific! If you love a film like Contact, you'll love this too. Leonie Benesch: as Charlie Wagner is just as delightful as Jodie Foster.
"Boring" is that supposed to be? For me, this is the most exciting and inspiring thing I've seen in a long time and the best series ending I can remember.
The story is not mainstream one-size-fits-all (unlike the much worse Avatar 2). There isn't even an obligatory villain to fight (other than the human himself). That's also different from Avatar, thank goodness. It makes the balancing processes on the ship more believable.
When I then see that bad ratings for the saustarke finish were already given before the episodes appeared in the mediatheques, I can only wonder about the rating behavior of some people.
Maybe everyone who finds it too much of a hassle should watch the first part and then the last two parts right away. (Seriously meant!). Those who already don't like "Contact" should leave it alone.
