It's rare to see a movie that gets better as time progresses, generally, in movies, it's the opposite, really strong first act, then it gets downhill from there.
The first act, and kinda the middle of the second one were bland, the build-up from the first act was pretty weak, the villain was not that intimidating, but the movie somehow recovers from that, a very pleasant surprise, the McQueen's relationship with his mentor, for example, and also the character Cruz, their character arcs is what made the movie for me.
But there are problems through the whole movie, not just on the first half or the other, like the humor, it's not good, or how the movies shots feels kinda same-y,
I didn't like watching this, especially since the movie had a bad first impression on me, even though the second half was kinda good, the experience overall wasn't that good.
3 stars out of 5, if you want to watch this, consider watching something like the first 10 minutes of the film, then skipping a bit more than half the movie.

I cringed myself out in the first three episodes, but other than that, it's just bad, don't watch it.
The adventures of Tintin
There's something so magical about these types of movies, simple adventure/action stories, they're not about deep emotional character conflicts, rather, they're all about being exciting, adventurous, fun, and that's what this movie is about
This movie has a fun "Assassin's Creed Cutscene" look and vibe, if you know what I mean, it's like you're playing a videogame
This is one of the few 2D to 3D adaptations that i really liked, you can't just have the appeal of 2D on 3D animation that easily, so rather, they decided to go for a "adventure movie" type of look instead, with real actors, but with mocap, to keep the character design, the setting, and overall characteristics of the comic brought to the movie, and definitively it was the best decision
Steven Spielberg's direction is easily the movie's strongest characteristic, so many excellent shots and transitions, it contributes a lot to this movie "adventure-ness"
This is my second time watching this movie, and i like it a lot more than first time, and maybe i will love it a lot more on my third watch!
4 stars out of 5, it's a bit unpolished, but definitively a fun movie.
