Beautifully photographed and well acted, but in 2hrs nothing interesting happens. Too many story lines are started but never concluded; there are too many characters to allow any depth of characterization or for the audience to identify with any of them. There is no discernible message or revelation. The film is evidently made to please the snobs of the art world, who provide the subsidies which enable such sod-the-audience films to exist. To this end, the director is so desperate to considered "serious" that no trace of humour is allowed: everyone behaves with what the Germans call animal-seriousness.
Film critics love it because it has lots of references to past films that the critics can congratulate themselves on spotting. Furthermore, it cleverly ticks fashionable boxes around female assertiveness, although it conforms to the Hollywood norm of thin, scantily clad heroines.
It did not suspend my disbelief for a second. Ridiculous plot, mindless violence. If it was not from a fashionable director, and ticked all the fashionable boxes, it would have been panned by the critics and the public would have stayed away (although some of the public who like the film would watch anything with sickening violence).
2 stars because of some nice music.
P.s. How often do you see passengers on a flight carrying a samurai sword?

Pathetic; looks like it's made for the uncritical US audience targeted by Netflix, rather than for any European audience. Predictable, silly and simple; so unconvincing that you feel nothing for the characters because you cannot suspend disbelief for a moment. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is that, unlike most of NETFLIX, it doesn't have any sickening violence. Gave up with a yawn after 30 minutes.
