Based on internet "copypaste" story touches serious live issues. Momentarily hilarious, momentarily sober and thought provoking. Tells a story about young, withdrawn young man and his dominated by his obsessed with angling father family. A daring role of the father played by hugely underappreciated (in my opinion) Piotr Cyrwus. Excellent low budget cinema.
Great adaptation of a classic Polish comics. The drawings perfectly follow the style of the original with good voice acting. The episodes correspond to the adventure books. I recommend it if you like light humor in the Old Slavic style. Ps. I have to state this: this is not "Asterix" rip off! Series grew out of other Mr Christa works "Kajtka-Majtka" and "Kajko and Koko" which appeared before Mr. Goscinny's first comic book (1959 debiut) in the "Glos Wybrzeza" newspaper in 1958. The eventual transfer of two contemporary characters to the world of the dark medieval times could be inspired by "Asterix", but it was more like it "artistic inspiration" rather than "copyrights carbon copy". Adventures of two main Slavic characters and all secondary are COMPLETELY different from the Gaul warriors. Hopefully that will put some light on the potential controversies.
