The sheer suspense as the contestants were whittled down and things got more intimate 😂
I was laughing and wincing simultaneously. The finale wasn't as explosive as I'd hoped but it really paid off. That lad probably went straight into therapy immediately after returning to the UK and all the contestants probably had to relocate 🤣. Can't recommend it enough if you want some laughs and some yucks on a rainy day.
He touched so many during his life and continues to be a bastion of piety to this day.
Mickey Rourke wonderfully portrays St Francis of Assisi in a film that could have only been done to this caliber in the 80s.
From rich soldier to holy Saint; this picture shows a journey as physical as it is holy and does so splendidly by utilising it's framing and the structure of extended flashbacks.
I was awfully surprised that they decided to only mention St Francis' assignment to speak with the Saracens instead of showing the way he masterfully battled the cheif in a duel of sacred philosophy.
Overall it's a wonderful picture that I would recommend to anyone and everyone.

I heard about this gem on a worst programme list and was absolutely delighted to find that my instinct to give it a try led me to a hilarious and fresh comedy from BBC 3.
Every episode has it's moments but sprinkled throughout the three seasons are moments of pant pissing hilarity.
I implore everyone to check it out because it's one of the best televisual discoveries I've made.
