I've watched a lot of TV shows in my life and nothing comes close to this and regenerated my account here after watching this episode.
The emotions that are stirred here when the time comes for the parents to hand over their son to the Doctors actually shook me to the core and I still haven't recovered from watching it.
The quality of HLOTS is top shelf and the only other show that comes within an asses roar of it was NYPD Blue.
The characters here are all relatable to and I think the writers actually veer away from giving in to a happy ending if it even threatens to challenge the real feel real time pace of the show.

The plot is well known at this stage but this film was thoroughly entertaining for me and my fellow watchers and I felt it had a lot of subliminal messages about appreciating what time you have left on the planet.
Bigger than normal cameo from the director but it worked well considering the way the film panned out
Recommended.

Mr Costner and Diane Lane perfectly cast as the grandparents of a child who ends up in a family on the wrong side of the tracks. Casting in the whole movie is top notch.
If you have a grandchild you will be particularly riveted by this story.
