Well i caption the plot on my title. It is a very nice realistic view of a family reunion with drama and comedy ingredients which make it a very realistic view. I liked it a lot and i think everyone who likes independent movies will like it too. Of course the cast of the movie is superb! Kidman's acting is as usual very deep , jack Black is dramatic but doesn't loose his funny side, Jennifer Jason Leigh has an outstanding performance of a confused and caring woman with a lacking of confidence and John turturo is a loving and sensitive but maybe not so much appreciated husband. I liked the film a lot.

It's definitely an interesting movie. A little too long(almost 2 hours movie) and it could be shorter but you won't get bored for long. Although it is explained in the end , it leaves some deeper questions because of it's religious elements. The main plot is easy to figure out from the beginning but when the movie ends you still have some unanswered questions about the motive of the characters. I don't think the characters were not developed well but were confusing at times. Giving it is the first movie of the director, i give him 7 stars. It has atmospheric photography but not very fan of the soundtrack. I watched it on cinema and didn't regret it. I suggest the movie to those who likes thriller with not a lot of twists.
