Gintama is a collection of random episodes, where the objective is to present a joke, they are usually funny and give meaning to the episode, making it memorable. But, the ideas of some episodes are forced and tiring. The work also features arches, which suffer from the same problem as isolated episodes. But the most positive point is the development of the characters, as everyone receives more than one development episode, no one is forgotten throughout history, especially the female characters, who play a prominent role in the work. In this, Gintama is a work with ups and downs, where if you can accept creative jokes, about Japanese culture and some of very dirty tones, you are caught in a wonderful work.
