  • Must watch Movie

I have no idea why this movie has such a low rating on IMDb!!! Is this a reflection of a polarized society we live in today? A brilliant directorial by Dijo Jose Antony who proves it yet again after his brilliant directing in Jana Gana Mana. Nivin Pauly is really good and relatable but it's the lesser known Deepak Jetha who steals the limelight.

Probably, the trailers; which by the way were super unique put off the audience as they might have been expecting an out and out comedy while the film tries to deliver a great message and can get serious more often than expected.

But nonetheless, it's a great film with a great message & should be seen in that light. A must watch as per me 👌👌👌👌

  • Must Watch

Slum Golf is a series inspired by real life caddies who dreamed of playing the rich man's game of Golf.

This immersive series is not as much about golf, but more about the human emotions and relationships, the poor and rich divide, family and friendships.

It's a story of triumph and survival, of dreams come true and despair. This is not just a series for the lovers of the game of golf, but for all people who enjoy stories about life and emotions.

Very aptly cast artists portray both sides of the world ( the rich and the slum dwellers). Mayur More after his stellar debut in Kota Factory shines as the protagonist Pawan Nagre and has been supported well by other actors especially by Shubhangi Bhujbal as his mother, Bhoomika Meena as Chandan his childhood friend, Aarya Joshi as his sister and Anuraag who plays the younger version of Pawan.

Sharad Kelkar as always grabs your attention whenever he on the screen. His booming voiceover as the narrator reminds you as to why he is in demand as a dubbing artist.

Soft music by Aditya A interspersed with the scenes are well done. The soundtrack is very good and music lovers will enjoy listening to the album.

All 8 episodes have been well directed and edited. The series is interesting, inspiring and a must watch from my side. Available on prime video, do take out time and give this a try.

  • Good watch for those who have brains

Time and again, bollywood treats it's audience like third graders. At least, anurag Basu and gang did not make that folly. I would not be really surprised that in the times to come, the script of this movie would be linked to some other international project and we cry plagiarism. Now, that's a compliment if this is original. I enjoyed the ride and a special shout out to Raj Kumar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi and Abhishek Bachchan. They were awesome and so was the ensemble cast. The stand up comedian Sudeep was aslo seen here and I wished he got a bit more screen time. The movie in itself grasps your attention right from the opening scene. It's definitely worth a watch. Many twists and turns that add up to the gritty writing and holding the genuine script with an awesome casting choice. A Malayali nurse and a goon, or a Malayali nurse and a man caught in the midst of mayhem( both sets being different pair of characters mind you), all the while when the main compatriots are trying to hoodwink each other was an awesome watch. I just hope that more such movies are made now and then. My final say is that movie makers need to really learn from the trailer of this film. It kept enough interest in the movie without revealing too much of the plot. I liked it and I recommend this for all average to above average brainers. Those who love leaving the brains at home for a masala flick are advised to steer clear.
