After a couple of lesser episodes this Season 1 penultimate episode got back on the horse in a big way!
Firstly, great timing on the return of the old Dexter theme. This episode was chockablock with movement and flow. Director Marcos Siega didn't let the action drag for a second. Writer Scott Reynolds crafted a brilliant teleplay.
Peter Dinklage and Uma Truman had an excellent episode, as did both Michael C. Hall and Jack Alcott.

Unfortunately, the cliffhanger ending was the best part and it was outstanding!
This episode was not on par with the previous seven episodes.
I didn't care about the plot points between Blessing (Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine) and his daughter, as I did not care about the burgeoning relationship between Harrison (Jack Alcott) and his new girlfriend.
In addition, the KGB savant, Det Wallace, continues to be the least-likable character and actress (Kadia Saraf) in the series.
But the storyline with Vinny (Steve Schirripa) was fun.

One of the best episodes for Michael C. Hall (Dexter) of the entire Dexter franchise. Writer Tanner Beam and Director Monica Raymund gave Hall some great opportunities to strut his stuff in this episode.
Peter Dinklage (Leon Prater) also had a good episode and a lot of camera time. Also, the estate was spectacular.
Unfortunately, Dexter and Batista (David Zayas) are on a collision course.
