I'm not sure how Bobby Lee keeps getting cast as a mild-mannered medical professional(ish) but his role should have been loud and funny to get the most out of him. June's parents, while beloved actors, also speak barely above a whisper. I'm not sure if it's meant to create a bigger contrast to June, but it that's the case it was bad direction.
The story is great though, and Esther is highly entertaining. I'd love to see another movie with Esther, Bobby, Bill Burr, Ms. Pat and Trevor Wallace with some better casting and direction for the other characters, and for heaven's sake a role for Bobby that has a little more "Bobby" in it!

No it's not the original, but you can tell from the first episode that these characters are going to grow on you.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I honestly don't know what the really low ratings are about. I feel like we weren't watching the same show.

This movie is like a strange cross between Trailer Park Boys and Seinfeld.
