  • Tense and unsettling

I really enjoyed this movie, although it stressed me out to watch! It did a good job of building an atmosphere of tension and dread, I felt like I was losing my mind along with the main character, trying to figure out what was going on. The acting performances were good all around, and the dubbing wasn't bad. The last half hour explodes into chaos and mayhem as everything is revealed and consequences are paid, and I found the ending satisfying, with perhaps a tease left for a possible sequel? I found it a good social commentary on the struggles of living in densely urban environments, like rats in a cage, and the affect that has on us, as well as the greed driving real estate and development.

  • What an incredible show

Light Shop is one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. When it started it was creepy, scary, and I thought it was going to be a typical Korean horror show, but it's not at all.

There are horror aspects, and copious amounts of tragedy, but it's also something else, something unique, beautiful, and both heartbreaking and heartwarming,. At its heart it's about the love and devotion we have for each other, and our will to go on. I was riveted for all 8 episodes, and I don't think I've ever cried so hard during a show as I did during the last 2 episodes.

The premise and plot are very unique, and I audibly gasped in wonder and surprise when I realized what was really going on at various points.

The acting was fantastic all around, it was well paced, and the set design was suitably eerie and atmospheric. It's slow paced and thought provoking, if you're looking for an action-horror show, this is not the one.

  • Silly fun

This was a lighthearted, fun, downright ridiculous in the best ways movie that I thoroughly enjoyed and laughed throughout. Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx had great chemistry, and they seemed to really be having fun filming this. The plot is formulaic, but it didn't need to be groundbreaking, sometimes familiar can be good. The action and fight scenes were hilariously over the top and reminiscent of 80-90s action movies.

Glenn Close was wonderful as always, and Jamie Demetriou as her bumbling wannabe spy boyfriend Nigel was funny.

It was great to see Cameron Diaz again, she's been missed. I learned that Jamie Foxx had a brain bleed and stroke during filming and had to spend nonths in recovery, including how to walk again, before returning to finish filming, the fact he did so is impressive and I'm glad he's OK.

In short, it was a fun family popcorn movie that doesn't take itself too seriously, so neither should you, just sit back and enjoy.
